"The People's Girls": Film Screening and Panel Discussion

In celebration of International Day of the Girl, join us for a screening of the documentary The People’s Girls. A panel discussion will take place after the screening led by Zainab Zeb Khan.

Zainab is the President of MALA, and has moderated and spoken at panels at the United Nations’ General Assembly; 2016 Conference on World Affairs; UN Commission on the Status of Women; World Affairs Council in Atlanta; TedX; and George Washington University. She coordinates MALA’s Muslim American Journeys with StoryCorps nationwide.

Sexual harassment is a growing problem in the world, especially in Egypt. Through a series of interviews and social experiments, The People’s Girls takes a closer look at who is to blame, as well as how women are fighting back.
