La Inmigración a Través de la Obra "Los Inmigrantes" (Immigration as Viewed Through the Original Play "The Immigrants")

Eduardo Cabrera will read selected passages from his original play, “The Immigrants.”

Cabrera will lead the audience in discussion of a variety of issues related to the experiences of Hispanic immigrants to the United States, including motivations for immigration, fears and tensions experienced by immigrants, relations between immigrants and law enforcement authorities, differences of socio-economic status among immigrants, immigrants’ relationships with family and friends in their native countries, immigrants’ personal and professional ambitions, and issues related to adaptation and assimilation.

This presentation will be delivered in Spanish.
