Jewish History in the Quad Cities

In Europe, laws restricted where Jews could live, their ability to have a say in their government, what careers they might pursue and when and whom they could marry. Murderous riots called pogroms threatened their very lives.

Jews came to the United States to find a place where they were free to live and worship as they pleased. They found that home here at the Mississippi River bend.
