This is an opportunity for folks to get hands-on experience making art that has impact. Throughout the course of this 10-week multimedia collaborative art project (Saturdays, 10am-2pm | March 17 – May 12, 2018), adults of all ages from the North Lawndale area will use performance and public speaking to explore issues related to incarceration and the criminal justice system, drawing connections between the past and the present. Led by professional artists, participants will work together to create a compelling, dynamic art project that will be shared with the community and the public at an Open House at the end of the session. Community Art Projects will also be shared in some capacity in a culminating, citywide exhibition for the Envisioning Justice exhibition in May 2019.

Participants are highly encouraged to attend all ten weeks. Group size is limited and advance enrollment is strongly recommended.
