Journalists, students, and community engagement leaders from all over the country gathered for Illinois Humanities’ first annual People-Powered Publishing Conference on November 10th. At the end of an exciting day of conversations highlighting organizations and projects working to build stronger relationships and dialogue between journalists and the public, Dr. Melissa Harris-Perry delivered the keynote address at Northwestern University’s Thorne Auditorium.
Illinois Humanities was honored to partner with the Chicago Humanities Festival, and to receive support from the Pulitzer Prizes Centennial Campfires Initiative, for this event. If you missed it, want to share it with someone who couldn’t be there, or just want to revisit this powerful and timely discussion between Dr. Harris-Perry and her guests, don’t worry – a video recording of the event is available courtesy of the Chicago Humanities Festival.
