Hometown Teams is a new exhibit from the Smithsonian Institute that is going to travel the country as part of the institute’s Museum on Main Street initiative and it is coming to the Quad Cities. This fully customized display calls for local sports fans to submit their memorabilia and memories to document the history of sports in their area. Lisa Lockheart from the Rock Island Library is one of the local organizers for the Hometown Teams Quad Cities event and she joined Sean Patrick on Mid Morning in the Cities today to invite folks to be part of Hometown Teams. The next meeting for the public on Hometown Teams is set for January 8th at 2 Pm at the Rock Island Library.
