ILLINOIS HUMANITIES COUNCIL CONDUCTS SPRING BOARD MEETING AT THE PRITZKER MILITARY LIBRARY ON APRIL 29

CHICAGO The Illinois Humanities Council (IHC) Board of Directors will hold its winter board meeting at the Pritzker Military Library (104 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago) on Friday, January 28, 2011. The Board will convene at 9:00 a.m. The meeting agenda will include a review of the institutional advancement committee report, program reports from the IHC’s program officers, and an update on our state-wide discussion series The (Un)Common Good.

Currently, 32 members comprise the Illinois Humanities Council Board of Directors.  They are:

The Illinois Humanities Council (IHC) is a nonprofit educational organization (501 {c} 3) dedicated to fostering a culture in which the humanities are a vital part of the lives of individuals and communities.  Organized in 1973 as the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), the IHC creates programs and funds organizations that promote greater understanding of, appreciation for, and involvement in the humanities. The IHC is supported by state, federal, and private funds.
