ILLINOIS HUMANITIES COUNCIL ANNOUNCES NEW FOCUS FOR GRANTS PROGRAM EFFECTIVE APRIL 15

Shift in emphasis to funding projects developed by, for, or aimed at reaching new or historically neglected audiences is accompanied by new deadlines and application.

CHICAGO The Illinois Humanities Council (IHC) is pleased to announce changes in its grants program. The IHC has refined the general focus of the grants program, with a priority on funding projects developed by, for, or aimed at reaching new or historically neglected audiences. The IHC especially invites applications from organizations that serve these communities and strongly encourages other applicants to extend their proposed programs to include such audiences. Effective April 15, the new guidelines and application will be in place.

Copies of the new grant information may also be requested by calling 312.422.5580 or by sending an email to ihc@prairie.org. The new deadlines for submitting proposals are as follows: Major Grants: February 15 and July 15; Mini Grants: January 15, April 15, July 15, and October 15.
