Woven In Stone: Architectural Decoration, Weaving, Women, and Political Power in the Yucatan

Dr. Virginia Miller of the University of Illinois at Chicago will address the social, political, and ritual importance of weaving and embroidery by Maya women throughout their history, as well as the significance of the incorporation of textile designs into architectural sculpture.
