Together Again: An Informal Talk with Billy Herndon and Mary Todd Lincoln

A Road Scholar Program by Brian Fox Ellis

The setting was the parlor of the Historic Edwards Place, which has stood on the same location since the time of Lincoln. It was probably the setting for events that Mary Todd, Abraham Lincoln, and William Herndon attended together. We had the speakers go back to back. Billy talking about his famous law partner’s career, Mary talking about her life in Springfield and in Washington.
