"Ties That Bind" is a video-documentary, created by Ann Feldman, which seeks to explore the connections between different spiritual traditions. Featuring the extended conversations of seven women spiritual leaders – two Catholic sisters, a rabbi, two Protestant ministers (one African- American, one Latina-American), a leader of a mosque foundation, and an outreach educator of the Muslim American Society Chicago Chapter – as they seek to find commonalities between themselves and their communities, this documentary will be used as a catalyst for further audience discussions. Audiences are invited to participate in the self-probing questions at the heart of three faiths’ common commitments to social justice and to the practice of loving one’s neighbor.
