Presentation of the 90-minute film, “This Old Cub,” which is a biography about Ron Santo, current broadcaster for the Chicago Cubs and former team player. Appearance by Jeff Santo, Ron’s son, who wrote and produced the film. Information booths by JDRF and by the diabetes departments of our 2 local hospitals. To be held off-site (to be determined). Note: Kankakee County has the second highest incidence rate of diabetes in the state of Illinois.

The $1 dollar admission fee and proceeds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF), for which Ron is the spokesperson. A raffle of an autographed (by Ron) baseball item will be held, with all proceeds going to JDRF.
