This exhibition examines the landscape of mobility from 1830-1960 and will convey how various modes of transportation have not only physically changed the landscape but also changed how we use, see, and interpret the landscapes we pass through. Visitors to the exhibit will see old highways, canals, railroads, or interstates from a new perspective, as landscape features with distinctive histories and discernible aesthetic characteristics.
