This program will feature a screening of The Road to Brown, a documentary about the legal strategy adopted by the NAACP to defeat segregation and the primary architect of that strategy, Charles Hamilton Houston. Lionel Kimble, Assistant Professor of African American Studies at the University of Illinois at Springfield, will moderate the discussion after the film. The screening will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience. This event is co-sponsored by the History Club at the University of Illinois at Springfield.
