The History of Black Children's Literature

A Road Scholar program by Nancy Tolson

Through first-person characterization, Nancy D. Tolson presents “Keepah,” collector of stories for well over one hundred years. She has watched the stories written for Black children evolve and has observed the lives of those who have made sure these stories continue. Join Keepah as she uses slides to assist in her colorful historical presentation on Black children’s literature throughout the ages. This program is tailored for family audiences.
