A Road Scholar Program by Paddy Lynn
Using excerpts from William Luce’s dynamic play, The Belle of Amherst, Paddy Lynn shares the story of one of America’s most prolific poets, Emily Dickinson. From the time Emily was a child, she knew she was different from those around her. She channeled all of her energy into the writing of poetry and thus her creative genius began to breathe. Interwoven with Dickinson’s poetry, the program recounts moments of her life from early childhood to her final days living as a recluse in her family’s home.
