Dr. Jennifer Tobin of the University of Illinois at Chicago will present the results of rescue excavations undertaken in 2000 at Zeugma, which were necessitated by the creation of a dam on the Euphrates River. The deep destruction debris that was excavated throughout the city gives us valuable information concerning the last days of Zeugma, and provides critical data about life in an ancient frontier town.
