Terra Incognita: The Promise and Peril of Stem Cell Research

A close-up look inside the life and lab of Dr. Jack Kessler, renowned stem cell expert and head of neurology at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. After his 15-year-old daughter became paralyzed below the waist, Kessler changed his scientific focus to regenerating the damaged spinal ord. The film features interviews with the Kesslers, lab researchers and others affected by spinal cord injury.
