Guest Speaker: Derrick Booth, Director of Social and Emotional Learning at Peoria Public Schools

The Office of Social and Emotional Learning focuses on coordinating the support, counseling, and mentoring students need to succeed academically. Mr. Booth will talk about the goals of this office and how they support students dealing with issues such as absenteeism, falling grades, suspensions, and expulsions. Mr. Booth works to build the positive relationship and decision-making skills involved in the concept of social and emotional learning.
