A screening of “Kaskaskia and the Pursuit of a More Perfect Union, Pt. 1” will provide the backdrop for a community discussion at the Chester Public Library centered on the question, “What might the complex history and ongoing evolution of Kaskaskia enable us to learn about the pursuit of a more perfect Union?”
Hosted by Linda Mitchell, executive director of the Metro East Literacy Project, Fairouz AbuGhazaleh, Illinois Humanities’ director of statewide programs, and Matt Meacham, Illinois Humanities’ program manager for statewide engagement.
Kaskaskia and the Pursuit of a More Perfect Union is made possible in part by a grant from National Endowment for the Humanities A More Perfect Union initiative.
