Paolo Castellani, violin, and Francesco Di Giandomencio, guitar, present the seductive music of South American and Spanish composers Piazzolla, De Falla, Cordero, Granados, Brouwer, Gismonti during their second U.S. tour.

Paolo Castellani obtained his degrees in music with highest honors. First violin of the orchestra, I Solisti di Perugia, Paolo has performed throughout Europe, in Russia, Egypt, Japan, Washington, DC, New York, and Chicago. He can be heard on 70 recordings. He’s published many articles, numerous compositions for voices, string quartet and quintet, full orchestra and a critical essay on Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. He teaches at Scuole medie Musicale delle province di Arezzo e Perugia and serves as Professor of Theory, Rhythmic and Musical Perception at Conservatory A. Buzzola of Adria, Rome. Paolo lives in Perugia with his wife, Monica, and their three charming children.

Francesco di Giandomenico studied at the School of Leonardo & Claudio De Angelis, graduating with honors in guitar, musical discipline, teaching and repertoire for guitar & orchestra. He also studied in San Juan, Puerto Rico and with renowned teachers such as Leo Brouwer, Eduardo Fernandez, Barbosa Lima, Juan Sorroche, Ivan Rijos and Neils Smith. Francesco has concertized around the world, premiered many works for guitar, some written for him, and published articles in journals of Europe and the U.S. Hailed as “a musician gifted for his interpretive skills and deep sensitivity”, he is currently studying electronic music with composer Luigi Ceccarelli.
