Elias Carmona is the Chicago coordinator of the World Day of Solidarity with the ongoing student strike at the University of Puerto Rico. Carmona is an accomplished photographer and an essential player in the preservation of the cultural and artistic memory of Chicago’s Latin community. He works with the Dr. Pedro Albizu Campos High School and the Puerto Rican Cultural Center.
