DJ Kool Herc, one of the most celebrated originators of the music we now call hip hop, will share the music that has made hip hop a world-wide phenomenon.

Joining Kool Herc will be Josh Abrams, noted Chicago musician and DJ known for his interest in traditional cultural music, blending them with soul, funk and house. This event will be a collision of cultural sounds and hopes to bring together the widest cross section of Chicago dance and music lovers at one of the South Side’s most important cultural venues, the Experimental Station.
