In October 2015, City Bureau’s community-based journalists began conducting original reporting based on the police misconduct allegation records released in the 2014 court decision Kalven v. Chicago. Throughout the process, Illinois Humanities and City Bureau have been hosting neighborhood forums to gather community experiences and perspectives to inform the reporting. As City Bureau teams’ projects near completion, we invite you to join us for the next step in these ongoing conversations.
In an interactive, open-house format, City Bureau staff and reporters will share what they’ve been working on, discuss their plans for the future, and show you how you can make the Data Project and other media resources work for you and your community.
This event is made possible in part by support from the Robert R. McCormick Foundation.
