Reporting Back Neighborhood Dialogue in Bronzeville

Join the IHC for for the next neighborhood dialogue in the series, Reporting Back: Perspectives on Violence in Chicago, to offer your thoughts, insights and experiences. Journalist Jacob Nelson and south side Chicago resident Jamie Nesbitt Golden will seek input on their text reporting on experiences of people living in neighborhoods affected by gun violence.

Reporting Back is a three-month, multimedia reporting project pairing working journalists with community residents to investigate critical issues in their communities. As the teams gather sources to produce text, video, radio and comics journalism content, these open neighborhood dialogues directly engage with the community during the storytelling process.

Join us to learn more about their reporting, share your perspectives with Jacob and Jamie, and support a crucial conversation about how media can tell the stories of neighborhoods affected by gun violence more deeply and effectively.
