By Megan Mylan and Jon Shenk (2003, 87 min, English and Dinka with subtitles)
This touching documentary follows a group of young Sudanese refugees on their extraordinary journey from Africa to America. Survivors of a cruel civil war that left thousands orphaned, these young men sought refuge in Kenya and later the United States. In America they find themselves safe from physical danger but struggling with the strange realities of displacement in a foreign culture.
Sylvester Bona, a refugee from Sudan, will join us for discussion.
