Tune in live Wednesday, October 28th on the Illinois Humanities YouTube Channel.

Focused on the topic of education, the first episode will feature advanced Scholars who recently completed their final summer session in the Sojourner Scholars program. Presenting work from their seminar, Radical Love, Self-Determination and Educational Equity in Chicago, contributors will reflect on their experiences as students in the time of COVID and they’ll share excerpts from oral histories they’ve gathered about freedom, schooling, neighborhood change, and learning in and from home spaces.

On November 11th at 7PM, join us for Envisioning Justice Rapid Response: RE-VISION

Where will we be on November 11th, 2020? Eight days after the election, Illinois Humanities teams up with four curators from other parts of the U.S. to share thoughts, feelings, and reflections on the outcome through the lens of those most invested in ending mass incarceration.
