The African American Studies Department at UIC presents Premilla Nadasen. She is a a native of South Africa, longtime activist and acting chair of Africana studies at Queens College in NYC. Dr. Nadasen will speak on her new book, Welfare Warriors about the US welfare rights movement and the black feminists who inspired and led it.
