The Brookport Library is conducting local historical research of African American Families in Brookport, Illinois and the surrounding areas.

The library is interested in African American families, churches, schools and social organizations. If you have old photos that you would like us to scan, please come on by. Those who provide pictures to scan must sign a release to give the Brookport Library permission o display the scans. The research and photo scans will become part of permanent African American History Scrap Book for the Brookport Library.

Digital copies of your scans will be provided upon request.
