OpenICE at the Hideout: Rebekah Heller and Levy Lorenzo

OpenICE is a free monthly series exploring the work of the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), named “one of the most accomplished and adventurous groups in new music,” (New York Times), in unpretentious and intimate environments.

This month, Rebekah Heller joins electronics wizard Levy Lorenzo for new works starring the bassoon at this free OpenICE concert at the Hideout. This performance will feature the world premiere of works by ICElab composers Felipe Lara and Carla Kihlstedt.

After the concert, Rebekah and Levy will be in conversation with Michael Mauskapf, who has a PhD in Musicology from The University of Michigan and is currently pursuing his PhD at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
