OpenICE is a free monthly series exploring the work of the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), named “one of the most accomplished and adventurous groups in new music,” (New York Times), in unpretentious and intimate environments.

Two of ICE’s most dynamic soloists, harpist Nuiko Wadden and hornist David Byrd-Marrow, present this free concert of new works at the Hideout in Chicago.

After the concert, Nuiko and David will be in conversation with Heidi Coleman, Director of Chicago Performance Lab, Director of Undergraduate Studies, Theater and Performance Studies (TAPS) at University of Chicago, and her daughter Daisy Coleman, third grader at the Lab School.
