Music on Main Concert - 20th Century Duo Flute

The Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center is pleased to present our next Music on Main performance, 20th Century Duo Flute! Flutists Scott Metlicka and Jean Bishop of the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra will perform a program of solo and duo flute music. All the pieces are tonal and were composed in the 20th century, yet each piece is distinctly different from the others. This program includes a piece by American composer Dexter Morrill, whose “Stained Glass Concerto” will be featured in the upcoming Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra performance on October 26, 2012. Visit www.mendelssohnpac.org for tickets and more info about that performance! Visit www.mendelssohnpac.org for the full Music on Main schedule. All programs, performers and prices subject to change. Music on Main is the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center’s series of brief and intimate after-work concerts in various genres, held at our historic Emerson House in the heart of Rockford’s cultural corridor.
