Music in the Architecture

A Road Scholar Program by Susan Carlotta Ellis

Explore the inherent relationship between music, rhythm and harmony in architecture. View architectural works by Frank Lloyd Wright, Zaha Hadid and Louis Sullivan, and connect them to classical music of J. Bach, or the jazz standards of Duke Ellington. We traverse the rhythm of life every day without really thinking about why a space makes us feel safe, protected, or happy. By linking living spaces and entertainment, we will have a greater understanding of the built environment we share with our community.

This event is Free and Open to the public. For more information, please contact Brian Reis, 815-756-4609.
