LOOSE CANON: Scenes and Monologues from the Edge of the Cliff

A staged reading of new work by Ike Holter
Featuring Tony Santiago, Sydney Charles, Bernard Balbot, and Lauren Sivak

Illinois Humanities presents a staged reading of a work in progress by playwright Ike Holter, followed by a Q & A with the artists.

Everybody flirts with the brink. The necessity to tip-toe around the edge, to go full throttle, to risk it all. These are the stories of people who jump without the parachute. The woman on the elevator who needs to save the world. The friend who always needs to borrow 50 bucks. The couple that will destroy everything to get to the next goal. The guy from Office Depot who’s got a weird night life, the educator on a razor’s edge, the person next to you on the train home: 11 different narratives in 90 minutes “that veer from laughaminute to silencetheroom real talk.”
