Discussion of Albert Camus’ The Plague . A novel about a town in Algeria that is infested with the plague during World War II. As the narrator, the town’s doctor, describes the public health measures and behavior of the townspeople during the quarantine, it becomes clear that the plague is also a symbol for political events.
