Highland Park celebrates Prairie style architect John Van Bergen with a month of activities and programming.

A Van Bergen self-guided bicycling/driving tour with downloadable audio is available at the HP Library, Historical Society, or City Hall.

Sunday: September 30: 4pm: Van Bergen Exhibit Opening– Opening of a comprehensive exhibit on the career of the noted architect. The exhibit features photos and a collection of Van Bergen.

Sunday: October 14: 2pm: Van Bergen Lecture- Lecture at Highland Park Library (494 Laurel Ave)

Sunday: October 21: 12noon-4pm: 17th Annual House Tour- The Highland Park Historical Society’s Annual House Tour begins at Braeside School, the building Van Bergen considered his masterpiece, and includes six Prairie style homes.
