Intersections: A Literary Conference for Young Writers

The conference for high school-aged students (13-20 years of age) will consist of writing workshops and discussions concentrating on the work of writers and how these authors use place as a focal point for conveying ideas. Students will have access to specific authors and literary themes that they would not otherwise have the opportunity to explore with an emphasis on student/teacher interaction. By focusing on the theme of place, young people will have the opportunity to write about where they come from and what place means to them.

Registration deadline is October 15.

$15 for individual students not in a school group; $50 fee for school groups plus an additional $15 per student; $25 for teachers wishing to receive learning credits.

Scholarships available for schools and individuals unable to pay registration fee.
