IHC Community Grant Application Workshop

Due to adverse weather conditions,
this event has been canceled.

Are you interested in applying for an IHC Grant?

The Illinois Humanities Council makes grants to Illinois nonprofit organizations to develop public humanities programs for Illinois audiences and to provide technical assistance or general support to help accomplish their core humanities missions. We especially encourage applications from organizations that bring humanities projects to new or historically neglected audiences or communities.

Representatives from Illinois nonprofit organizations are invited to attend this special grant application workshop. During the workshop, IHC Program Officer Matt Meacham will field questions about applying for grants for various types of projects, including documentary films, local and community history projects, literary symposia, and oral history projects. You’ll learn about the many ways in which the Illinois Humanities Council provides support for nonprofits, meet an IHC staff member who can provide insight into connecting with the IHC, and make local connections with potential collaborators and allied organizations.

Read our Community Grant guidelines. The next two grant application deadlines are April 15, 2013 and July 15, 2013.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration for this event is required.
