Bly will discuss society’s changing attitudes toward nature and the need to move beyond the belief that human thought is the only sentient force in the universe. He will show how this “Old Position” resulted in the subjugation of the natural world to the designs of the human intellect. His lecture will be followed by a question and answer session. A panel of community leaders, farmers and environmentalists will join Bly for an in-depth discussion based on his lecture at 7:15pm.
