How Different Are We? Genetics and the Individual

A Road Scholar program by Kristin Douglas

Join Kristin Douglas, Assistant Professor of Biology at Augustana College, as she introduces audiences to the science of genetics. Highlighting similarities among all humans at the DNA level, Dr. Douglas will explore, in brief, the following questions: What is DNA? How does it carry information in a cell? What are proteins? What are alleles? Armed with this information, audiences can feel more comfortable engaging in the discussion of how genetics links individuals together.
