The first performance of the play/music production written and directed by Rockford Lutheran Academy’s Darcy Hill (music/drama teacher) and presented in collaboration with community partners Midway Village Museum Center, Rockford Park District, and Rockford Public Schools Distrct 205.
This production features a celebration of the rich history of Rockford –stories that tell of early Native Americans through the age of industrialization and into our present day, including fur trader Stephen Mack of Rockton, slave Lewis Lemon (who settled in Rockford), and the Rockford Peaches. It stars fourth and fifth graders from the Rockford Lutheran Academy.
This showing is limited to the entire 3rd grade community of Rockford Public Schools #205 (29 elementary schools in total).
The public performance will take place on May 1, 2012 at 6:30 PM.
