This program will address the “hallyu,” or Korean Wave, of South Korean pop culture such as TV, movies, and drama, which has swept across East and Southeast Asia and the United States. Speakers will include Robert Cagle, cinema studies professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Consul Jung-Il Han, Korean Consul General.
