A Road Scholar program by Raymond Bial
In this slide presentation, photo-essayist Raymond Bial presents an overview of how people struggled to make homes for themselves on the Illinois frontier. Through this program, audiences gain a deeper appreciation for the self-reliance of early settlers.
Over the past half-decade, Raymond Wiggers has presented over 135 public lectures and keynote addresses for public libraries, nature centers, historical societies, museums, and other organizations across the state of Illinois. In addition, he has also taught and written extensively on communicating important concepts of science to public audiences.
