FIORELLO! Sunday Scholar Series

TimeLine’s Sunday Scholar Series is a one-hour panel discussion featuring experts talking about the themes and issues related to TimeLine’s production of the musical FIORELLO!.

The Sunday Scholar Series follows the 2pm matinee performance of FIORELLO! and there is no cost to attend the discussion.

Following the one-hour discussion, TimeLine hosts a reception in the theatre’s lobby to allow audience members to talk one-on-one with the panelists.

Winner of the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize, FIORELLO! is written by Jerome Weidman and George Abbot, music by Jerry Bock and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick.

In a time when New York’s crooked political machine was awash in vice and corruption, it took a small, honest man to break the stranglehold on big city politics. With guts and perseverance, Fiorello H. LaGuardia put a bright, new shine on “The Big Apple” and became one of the most enduring figures of the 20th century.
