The featured film is The Cry of Jazz (1959) by Edward O. Bland.

This screening will be followed by a discussion led by Chuck Kleinhans, Associate Professor of Radio, Television and Film at Northwestern University. He will present key points in the portrayal of free jazz in a racially motivated society.
