The Northshore Concert Band opens its 57th season with its fall concert, “Tributes” featuring special guest flute soloist John Thorne,newly-appointed professor of flute at Northwestern University. The concert also includes Ryan Nowlin’s Fanfare for the Centennial; Robert Spittal’s rich, poetic Pacem; and Paul Hindemith’s expressive Symphony in B-Flat.
