Join us for a discussion with Chicago journalist Alison Flowers on the innocence movement and how wrongfully convicted prisoners — once released — struggle to rebuild their lives, livelihoods and identities.

Alison Flowers is a Chicago journalist who focuses on social justice. She is the author of The Exoneree Diaries, a narrative non-fiction webserial for Chicago Public Radio and NPR affiliate, WBEZ.Flowers’ work has appeared on CNN, CBS, PBS, The Huffington Post, Chicago Public Radio, Truthout.org, BUST Magazine, Johns Hopkins University News, Unity Magazine and elsewhere. Flowers worked as a research associate at Northwestern University’s Medill Justice Project where she contributed to the investigations of potentially wrongful convictions and explored other systemic criminal justice issues.
