Dr. Randall Snyder, composer-in-residence at the University of Nevada, is arranging the concert, which will include music by 19th century Quincy composer Henry Clay Work; Dr. David Nelson’s “Shining Shore,” one of the most popular hymns of the 19th century; and songs of the Hutchinson Family Singers, a popular ensemble in antebellum Quincy. Bring your lawn chairs.
