Clandestinos is a festival of film and video bearing witness to the Cuban people’s ingenuity, capacity for self-examination, and courage. The festival is a testament to how digital media has made its way into the landscape of Cuban film production. Director Juan Carlos Zaldivar came to the US from Cuba when he was 13 years old. He will speak of his experience, as well as that of his family, in navigating the uneasy territory of exile. His documentary, “90 Millas,” will be screened.
