Nonstop musical entertainment by some of Chicago’s finest cabaret performers will make “Our Kind of Tune” an unforgettable evening. Cabaret artists Marilyn Maye and Spider Saloff will be honored. Maye, an award-winning vocalist, who has appeared at the top clubs across the country and has recorded seven albums, will receive the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Saloff, costar of an internationally syndicated public radio series, nationally renowned performer and critically-acclaimed songwriter, is the Gold Coast Award honoree. Rick Meadows will accept the Friend of Cabaret Award on behalf of Donald Smith and the Mabel Mercer Foundation.
